KEY TREND FOR 2012: A SEA OF COLORED LIPS
There´s no doubt about it; the red lip was EVERYWHERE during the Spring/Summer 2012 fashion weeks last September. Luckily, they weren´t all clear and bright red, so we all can play around and find one that fits us perfectly- and of course, a strong lip is always ready to party!
THE SHADES
Tom Ford Collection
RED
Let´s start with the bright red as this is the one most will want to wear or at least try out- and you absolutely should! The truth is, red lipstick is just like a smokey eye; it looks on anyone at any age, you just have to find the right tone and texture. With a red lipstick, the more blue it has in it, the whiter your teeth will look, so that´s a good starting point. If you have very big lips, you may want to use a more sheer color so that your lips doesn´t come out too much.
This Russian Red lipstick from MAC is favorized by millions for it´s blye undertone and matt finish which makes it stay on longer.
ORANGE
Moving over to another very popular shade or take on the red lip is the strong orangy one. Made ever so popular by Kortney Kardashian which constantly fronts the YSL Lipstick Le Orange- to the point that they are always sold out even!

HOT PINK
If you didn´t make it in time for the fun color lip trend of this summer, you´ll still have time next year- even right now also if you want to be ahead of the trend! A hot pink or fucsia colored lipstick is so much fun, it makes you mouth and teeth pop (in agood way) and you can get away with just wearing the lipstick for makeup and leaving eyes bare- it´s that powerful!

APPLICATION
So how to get your lipstick to stay on all night long? It´s the easiest trick in the book actually. Simply go over with a thin layer of foundation to neutralize the lip colour then set this with a very thin layer of translucent foundation. Then start applying your lip liner, working up the edges and shape you want and filling in the entire lip with the lip pencil before you move over to you your lipstick. As you will have already done the work with liner, the lipstick goes on like a dream! If you want to be extra secure, set it with another layer of translucent powder which also give a great matt effect!
