I was reading a blog the other day, and someone recommended against sending a thank you letter to a hiring manager after an interview. It was a crazy thing I ever read. They said that sending such a letter makes the candidate look desperate. The person who wrote the blog claimed to be a hiring manager and said that the few thank you letters she had received were from candidates who not only proved in the letter that they couldn’t spell, but were also highly unqualified for the job. I looked up the blogger’s name on LinkedIn, and found that she was not actually a hiring manager. I wonder if I should post a comment or just keep my mouth shut.
